Endocrine and nervous system

The activities of different organ systems must be coordinated and regulated so they act in unison to meet the needs of the organism. They have evolved two systems of coordination: the nervous and endocrine. In order to transmit information quickly to specific cells, the nervous system uses electrical signals. Thus, these nerves transmit signals to the skeletal muscles to control its contraction. The endocrine system, on the other hand, secret chemical agents. Hormones, travelling by the blood stream until the cells on the regulator to have an effect. Hormones play an important role in regulating many organs, and especially in the cycle mestrual and other aspects of production.
